wallingford avenue and windsurfer on lake union

We took the boys for a short walk in South Lake Union Park on Saturday night. While we were there, a nice man at the sailboat pond offered Adam the controls to his boat. Meanwhile, this windsurfer seemed to be having sort of a Charlie Brown time of it on the lake- he was going pretty much nowhere and then it started drizzling cats and dogs. I waited for him to ever-so-slowly creep into my deliciously dark and gloomy frame here. Voila! Action shot! Sort of, you could say. At any rate, I took this with my old Nikon D50……

Tonight the boys and I rode the bus down the hill to the university so we could walk (Adam scootered) under the peaking Sakura cherry blossoms in the Quad. It was a wonderful outing, Oliver is of the age when watching him makes simply walking seem exhilarating. I always forget how ridiculously convenient it is to ride the bus to the UW. That said, on the ride back home we had to abandon ship when the Metro driver called transit police to kick a particularly bad chap off. Fortunately we were only a couple stops from the house……
