happy halloween!

Adam was a cowboy for Halloween this year. He and his cowboy boots are going to be inseparable for a while because he really digs them! It’s cute how he tucks them into his jeans. He has been wearing them everywhere for a few days.

It’s startling how green the boston ivy is, this year. Usually it’s orange and yellow by the time Halloween rolls around. This reminds me more of a summer picture. Right after this we walked up to neighbor Jack’s house for trick or treating. Shortly thereafter, Diana got home and the three of us headed a short ways up to 17th Avenue East for the main event. On that street, house after house after house is decked out in scary decorations. It’s a neighborhood tradition.

We only got two parties of trick or treaters at our house. Our hill is too dang steep. Most of the children in our neighborhood do the same thing as everyone else in Seattle…..head for flatter streets.

  1. We only got about a dozen trick-or-treaters. Too bad we bought our candy at Costco…

I approve of Adam’s choice of costume! He just needed a giant belt buckle in the shape of Texas to complete the outfit 🙂
